Wed. Nov. 4: ASHLEY MONROE & CHARLIE WORSHAM -7:30pm- Tix: $35.00 ($47.80 through Ticketmaster, $42.00 at the Birchmere Box Office) One night only! Don’t miss country music icons Ashley Monroe and Charlie Worsham live at The Birchmere on November 4, 2026. Tickets on sale now! Ashley Monroe is one of Nashville’s most respected and influential voices whose work has helped shape modern country music from the inside out. Over a career spanning nearly 25 years, she’s earned GRAMMY nominations, widespread critical acclaim, and the admiration of her peers through both her solo catalog and her work with Pistol Annies. Her recent music marks a bold new chapter of creative clarity and emotional honesty. On her surprise-released album Dear Nashville, written and produced alongside Luke Laird, Monroe turns inward, exploring her complicated relationship with the town that built her. The eight-song concept album captures the tension between deep love for country music and the emotional toll of the industry, delivered with the unfiltered perspective that has long defined her songwriting. With more new music continuing to emerge, Monroe remains as vital as ever—an artist still evolving, still telling the truth, and still finding new ways to be heard. Twenty years after moving to Nashville, Charlie Worsham has established himself as one of Music City’s most respected artists: a singer-songwriter, producer, award-winning instrumentalist, podcast host, and collaborator. With Once Upon a Second Time Around, he reflects on a life he once dreamed of and realizes he is already living it. Raised in Mississippi on bluegrass, country, and rock & roll, Worsham brings those influences together in a deeply personal album shaped by marriage, fatherhood, friendship, and personal growth. Created after stepping away from the major-label system, the project embraces creative freedom and authenticity over commercial expectations. Rather than chasing trends, Worsham focused on crafting a complete albu
Thu. Nov. 5: EUGE GROOVE -7:30pm- Tix: $45.00 ($60.80 through Ticketmaster, $52.00 at the Birchmere Box Office) Chart-Topping Saxophonist Euge Groove Ascends to New Heights on Long-Awaited and Triumphant New Recording Finding Resilience, Joy and Peace on THE PHOENIX Available Everywhere July 17, 2026 “I am The Phoenix!” exclaims Steven EUGEne GROoVE. “After all that has happened in my life over the last several years, I literally am The Phoenix! In the story of the Greek Phoenix, he lived an amazing life, which is why he was reduced into ashes from flames of bright, vibrant colors. His transformation was meant to take his life to the next level to live out eternity. Sometimes you have to burn it all down and rebuild to get there.” Euge Groove’s highly anticipated new album, The Phoenix (a follow-up to 2023’s lauded Comfort Zone), is not merely a new recording from one of Contemporary Jazz’s luminaries but it is a bold declaration of the evolution of a man, musician and spiritual being. Having recovered from life-saving open heart surgery—aided by his remarkable Bernedoodle, Odysseus, a service dog trained in cardiac alert—there is something serendipitous about Euge Groove’s new album being his fourteenth. In many religions and cultures, the number fourteen is often viewed as a symbol of balance, harmony, and spiritual growth, which are all areas coming into focus for the saxophonist. The Phoenix (available everywhere July 17, 2026) is his most spirit inspired statement yet and it highlights his compelling compositions and keen arrangements. Throughout the recording, his laid-back yet audacious playing rings with a clear, satisfying intention. The prolific musician, who has collaborated with iconic artists ranging from Tina Turner, Tower of Power, and The Eurythmics to Aaron Neville, Huey Lewis, and Joe Cocker, shares: “I really wasn’t sure I was going to get to the finish line on this album. I’m just seeking peace right now. I’m attracted to peaceful people, places,

Sun. Nov. 22: MARSHALL CRENSHAW with Sarah Borges & Eric Ambel -7:30pm- Tix: $49.50 ($63.45 through Ticketmaster, $56.50 at the Birchmere Box Office) Born in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, Marshall Crenshaw learned to tune a guitar correctly at age ten and has been trying ever since. His first big break came in 1978 playing John Lennon in “Beatlemania”, first as an understudy in New York, then in the West Coast company, followed by a national touring company. Removing himself from that situation in Feb. 1980, Marshall settled in New York City. Enthralled by the hyper-diverse musical culture of the City, and the local Rock scene in particular, Marshall formed a Rock and Roll band with brother Robert on drums and Chris Donato on bass. After crossing paths with the great and legendary Alan Betrock, Marshall recorded his debut single “Something’s Gonna Happen” for Betrock’s Shake Records label; at nearly the same time, legendary Rockabilly singer Robert Gordon’s recording of Marshall’s “Someday Someway” was released as a single on the RCA label. These two records simultaneously broke big on New York’s WNEW-FM, causing Marshall and his trio’s local popularity to explode. And so began a career that’s spanned four decades, 13 albums, Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, film and TV appearances (Buddy Holly in “La Bamba”) and thousands of live performances. Marshall formed his current touring band in 2022, featuring multi-instrumentalist and record producer Fernando Perdomo, bassist and singer-songwriter Derrick Anderson, and drummer Mark Ortmann (founding member of the legendary Bottle Rockets). Of his City Winery New York show last fall Infocus Visions Music & Arts Magazine hailed, “Marshall Crenshaw live is an experience in itself. Forget the solo artist; this is a full band explosion that showcases the magic of musical synergy. Watching them on stage is like peeking into a creative engine room. Fri. Nov. 27: An Evening with THE SELDOM SCENE -7:30pm- Dry Branch Fire Squad will NOT be appearing on this show. Tix: $45.00 ($60.80 through Ticketmaster, $52.00 at the Birchmere Box Office) Fifty-three years into a legendary career, much has changed about The Seldom Scene, starting with the venerable progressive bluegrass quintet’s various lineup iterations over time. But even as band members have stepped in and out of various roles, what’s most important is what hasn’t changed: an undeniable knack for blending both old and new music and traditions without sacrificing what makes either potent and durable. Their current iteration is a true blue lineup: guitarist mandolin player Lou Reid, bassist Ronnie Simpkins, banjoist and fiddler Ron Stewart, dobro player Fred Travers, and guitarist Clay Hess. Since they started up together in 1971, The Seldom Scene has dexterously performed original and traditional songs while presenting fiery and soulful reinterpretations of material by Merle Haggard, James Taylor, and more. The concept of bluegrass unshackling itself from a conservative, straight-ahead mindset seems like a given now, when some of its biggest stars fill stadiums and cross over with mainstream audiences, but the continued presence of the Scene acts as a reminder that it wasn’t always so. Even if their playing style feels more at home in intimate clubs, where the audience can feel their exuberance radiating from the stage, the Scene’s elastic relationship to genre established an important precedent that encouraged their contemporaries and allowed bluegrass bands to expand their repertoire in ways that laid the groundwork for today’s bluegrass boom.
